GENERAL INFORMATION:

Room & Board Rates
The 2007-2008 rates for an on-campus space and for the meal plans are currently being determined.   All students who reside in residence halls, Langlow House, and Greek residences are required to purchase a University meal plan. Under the University's "A La Carte" food service program, students may use their board plan at any time the dining services are open. Meal service is not provided over extended vacation periods (i.e., Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks).

The Residential Life Deposit of $200 is held by the University as a room reservation fee and will be used as a room deposit. Refunding of the deposit is contingent upon final payment of all other charges against the student's account and any one of the following:

  • The student remains in University housing for the entire contracted period, check-out is completed, and no damages have been charged to the student's account upon check-out.
  • The student has been granted a medical withdrawal, a leave of absence, or has graduated, transferred, been academically released by the University, or has received an approved Housing Contract Waiver.
  • The University does not have space available to offer the applicant.

For more detailed information about payment plans, please refer to "Financing Your Education" in the University Bulletin.

Refund Policy
Room charges are nonrefundable for students who have contracted for housing in an exclusive use facility, Greek facility, or Theme House. For students who have contracted for non-exclusive use facilities, room charges are nonrefundable, except for reasons of major illness or other circumstances beyond a student's control. In such cases, refunds may be issued on a prorated basis. Under any other circumstances, the charges will remain on the student's account.

Board charges are refunded on a partial basis for those students who withdraw from campus housing before the completion of a term.

Additional information about the room charge refund policy is available from the Student Development office.

There are no refunds of either the Residential Life Deposit or the Advance Tuition Payment if cancellations are received after May 1st for Fall Semester enrollment.
