Temporary/On-call Employment InformationTemporary/on-call employment can be a source of income while an individual conducts his/her search for full-time employment. It can also provide those interested in full-time employment opportunities with additional work experience and/or potential references. And for persons interested in occasional work, but not regular full- or part-time employment, temporary/on-call work can provide a source of income without the commitment required by a regular position. The University of Puget Sound maintains a Temporary/On-Call List of individuals who are interested in clerical employment opportunities of a limited duration. Lengths of assignments vary, but range from one day to six months. If you are interested in having your name placed on the Temporary/On-Call List, please visit Human Resources (1218 North Lawrence St.) where you can obtain an application for employment or download a job application. Hourly rates of pay will vary depending upon the duties of each assignment. Individuals employed in temporary/on-call assignments will not automatically be included for consideration in applicant pools for regular positions. It is the responsibility of the individual to apply for any position(s) he/she may be interested in during the announced application period for the vacancy.
