Parents Fund/Parents CouncilEach year support of the Parents Fund allows the University of Puget sound to continue to offer classes and programs of the highest quality. Last year over $450,000 in unrestricted gifts were contributed by parents to the Puget Sound Parents Fund. Gifts from parents are critically important. By providing financial support, you are helping Puget Sound continue to set a standard of excellence in higher education. Contributions to the Puget Sound Parents Fund enhance the university’s ability to build and retain a team of gifted faculty, fund academic programs, provide university based financial aid to over 80 percent of the student body, maintain the beautiful campus and support the many services the university provides to students. The Parents Council 2007–08 Parents Council Co-Chairs: Barb Walker P’05, P’07 Suzanne Moshier P’09 Critical to the success of the Puget Sound Parents Fund is the Parents Council, a group of involved parent volunteers who financially support Puget Sound by making annual gifts of $2,500 or more and phone other parents for similar gifts. Parents Council volunteers also act as ambassadors for Puget Sound by attending and at times hosting university events and by sharing university news, plans, and goals. If you are interested in further information regarding the Parents Fund or becoming a volunteer for the Parents Council, please contact Debbie Loomis, assistant director of annual giving at 253.879.2921. |
