Learning Commons

ICommons in the libraryThe Learning Commons, located on the main floor of Collins Memorial Library,  is a place where University of Puget Sound students, faculty, staff and affiliated users may access information, research a topic, and learn, using current technology and the help of knowledgeable library staff.

   

News

  • A maximum of 100 pages per print job has been implemented.  If you need to print an item that is over 100 pages, simply print the first 100 pages as one print job and then print the remaining pages in a separate print request
  • Laptop/Notebook printing is available in the library. The OIS Tech Center has provided instructions for setup and a dedicated laptop printer in Library 034, which will be open all hours that the library is open.
  • Wireless Access is available on the main, second and garden levels of the library.

Computers in the library

  • 34 PCs are available in theLearning Commons
  • Additional PCs are located in rooms 116 and 124 to allow for groups to congregate more easily when working at a computer.  These computers print to the  Learning Commons printer.  
  • Workstations are also available in rooms 019, 023, 025, 027, 029, 033 and in the study carrels across from the entrance of the Tech Center on the garden level of the library.  These machines print to the printer in room 034.
