Collins Library offers many ways to get help in order to meet a variety of information needs. You may choose to meet personally with a librarian about a research assignment or just ask a quick question via e-mail or telephone.

For Quick Questions...

  • Printing or technical problems in the Information Commons
  • Locating materials in the library
  • Library policies or services
  • Tips on searching the library catalog or the databases

Visit the Information Desk located in the I-Commons. This desk is staffed with trained student assistants these hours during the academic year:

Monday - Thursday:  8:00 am - 11:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday:  11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The Information Commons Supervisor is Jada Pelger, LIB 115, 253.879.3287.

For Research Questions...

  • Assignment or term paper help
  • Follow-up questions from library instruction
  • Any questions the I-Commons staff cannot answer

Drop by the library and ask for the On-Call Librarian.

Librarians are scheduled on-call throughout the day, Monday through Friday, to meet with you and discuss your research needs.  I-Commons staff will refer all research-related questions to an on-call librarian. Reference Hours
