After 34 years of heading the voice area at Puget Sound, Professor Goleeke has retired from full-time teaching and is now an Affiliate Artist. During his 34 years, he produced and conducted 24 opera productions, nine opera workshops, performed over twenty solo recitals, and taught voice and all diction courses. Off-campus performances include 21 seasons at the Carmel (CA) Bach Festival and numerous other performances in concert and oratorio. Many of his students have gone on to prestigious graduate schools and some to careers in performance and teaching. "Puget Sound students are bright and talented and fun to teach. I enjoy helping them establish a solid technical basis for the development that occurs during their undergraduate years." Dr. Goleeke has BA and MA degrees from the University of Washington and a DMA from Stanford. He has conducted extensive research on G.F. Handel's vocal ornamentation. |
