Scholarships for Currently Enrolled Students

Scholarship opportunities for currently enrolled undergraduate students are made possible by the financial commitments of alumni, parents, and friends.  These named scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students who meet the specific selection criteria established by the donors. 

Scholarship recipients will be expected to promptly express their appreciation by writing a thank you letter to the donor of the scholarship.  Recipients will receive an invitation to the annual scholarship luncheon to meet and personally thank their donor.

Application deadline is March 31.

University Scholarship Application 
Approximately 70 named scholarships will be awarded from this application. Selection criteria may include academic merit, declared major, campus involvement, community service and volunteer activities, anticipated career plans, and financial need.

Harry Cain Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students who plan to enter the field of public administration or public service. (Deadline for this application is March 7)

Kathy Phibbs Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to female students who have a strong interest or are majoring in history.

Collier Interdisciplinary Scholarship
Awarded to students pursuing interdisciplinary studies that combine substantial studies in the sciences with substantial studies in the humanities or social science disciplines. 

Richard Bangs Collier Pleneurethic Scholarship
Awarded to students with non-sectarian global views pursuing studies in the fields of philosophy, literature, history, mathematics, or natural sciences. 

Religious Leadership Award
Awarded to students interested in lifelong religious leadership, including both ordained and lay ministry, professional work in faith community music leadership, and the range of missionary service and outreach activities.

Peer Ministry Mentorship
Awarded to students from a wide variety of religious traditions who are interested or engaged in developing religious or spirital leadership in one of the following areas: chapel, communications & publicity, diversity theme year, multifaith programs, or community service.

Cyrus Ames Wright Ministry Scholarship
Awarded to students pursuing professional religious leadership.
