MCGRANE IN FOURTH AFTER DAY ONE OF WILLAMETTE MULTIS
SALEM, Ore. - Trying to improve her NCAA Provisional score in the Heptathlon, sophomore Caitlin McGrane (Colville, Wash.) is in fourth place after day one of the Willamette Multis in Salem, Ore.
McGrane, who recorded a score of 4295 in her NWC Championship winning performance in April, took third in the 100m hurdles, shot put and 200m dash on Sunday, improving her scores in all three events. Unfortunately, McGrane took last in the high jump to lose pivitol points.
McGrane is in fourth place overall after day one with 2478 points. Following day one at the NWC Multi-Event Championships, McGrane has 2512 points. Her earlier score of 4295 is 10th nationally, according the rankings compiled by raceberryjam.com.
