MEN'S GOLF SECOND AFTER DAY ONE OF NWC CHAMPIONSHIP
YAKIMA, Wash. - Low scores were the name of the game on the first day of the Northwest Conference men's golf championship at Apple Tree GC in Yakima, Wash. and the Loggers joined in on the fun, taking over third place heading into Sunday's final day.
Tim Bartz (University Place, Wash./Oregon State) led the Loggers with a 73. Freshman Greg Kirkpatrick (Longview, Wash./Mark Morris) shot a 76 while Jordan Hodge (Tucson, Ariz.) carded a 77.
As a team, the Loggers are in third place with a score of 305. Linfield is in first place, carding a 288. Pacific is second with a score of 299. Individually, Max Bonk shot a 68 to lead the individual standings.
Sunday's competition was set to get started at 8:38 a.m. with the last group scheduled to tee-off at 10:54.
