LOGGERS ATTACK WILDCATS, 19-8

McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Sofia Lama scored eight goals, powering Puget Sound to a convincing 19-8 women's lacrosse victory over the Linfield Wildcats Saturday on the Linfield lacrosse field.
Enjoying one of their best seasons, the Loggers (8-2) pulled away from a 3-all tie in the first half to stake a 10-5 advantage by intermission.
Jessica Knight and Anna Gunderson each added three scores for the Loggers.
Tarie Caouette scored a team-high five goals for Linfield but leading scorer Melissa DePierro was held to two goals in the loss.
UPS outshot Linfield 42-26, including a 23-10 margin in the second half.
Loggers goalkeeper Ana Calciano and Wildcats netminder Becca Levy each recorded 12 saves in the match.
