BUCS BETTER LOGGERS, 8-1

TACOMA, Wash. - Sophomore Rochelle Hebert (Lake Tapps, Wash./Auburn Riverside) pickup up the lone UPS victory as the Puget Sound Loggers fell to the Whitworth Pirates, 8-1, in a Northwest Conference women's tennis match on Friday night at UPS Tennis Pavilion in Tacoma, Wash.

The Loggers nearly picked up a point in doubles play as the number one team of Katie Schultz (Auburn, Wash./Thomas Jefferson) and Samantha Taylor (Hood River, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) dropped a 9-8 decision to Linh Aven and Rachel Burns.  In singles play, Hebert record the lone UPS point, defeating Taryn Smith, 6-1, 6-4.

The Loggers will play at home again on Saturday in their home finale as they take on Whitman, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
