SOFTBALL SNOWED OUT IN SPOKANE
SPOKANE, Wash. - The final three games of the University of Puget Sound - Whitworth University Northwest Conference softball series have been cancelled due to unplayable conditions at Whitworth's Diana Marks Field. The games are not expected to be made-up.
The teams were scheduled to play three games on Sunday after only getting in a single game on Saturday due to morning snowfall. The cancellations bring the total of games lost to weather to eight for the Loggers in 2008, including five Northwest Conference games.
Puget Sound returns home next weekend to host Willamette (Saturday) and Linfield (Sunday).
