W. GOLFERS SECOND AFTER DAY ONE OF SPRING CLASSIC
BANKS, Ore. - In the second of three official Northwest Conference events, the Puget Sound Loggers women's golf teams sits in second place, just three strokes back of first-place Pacific, at the NWC Spring Classic at Quail Valley GC in Banks, Ore. The two-day event is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
Sophomore Maresa Jenson (Whitefish, Mont.) led the Loggers on day one, shooting a 88 to sit in third place overall. Megan Starr (Wayzata, Minn./Hopkins) shot a 92 while Kristine Juhola (Milwaukie, Ore.) and Sarah Bicker (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline) each shot 93 on the first 18 holes.
Saturday's action is expected to tee-off at 9:04 a.m. with the final group, including Jenson, teeing off at 10:32 a.m. at Quail Valley GC in Banks, Ore.
