HODGSON NAMED WEST REGION INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

NEW ORLEANS - Puget Sound senior distance runner Brittany Hodgson (Grants Pass, Ore.) has been named Division III West Region Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as announced on Wednesday.

Hodgson was honored after she ran the mile in 5:14.73 at the UW Preview in December.  She also finished 53rd at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in November to lead the Loggers to a 23rd place finish as a team.

Pacific Lutheran's Taylor Hacker was named West Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year while Heather Kreier, also of PLU, was named West Region Women's Coach of the Year.
