FOSTER NAMED ALL-REGION BY NABC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After picking up regional honors earlier this week by D3hoops.com, Puget Sound junior Jason Foster (Tacoma, Wash./Foss) has been named All-West Region by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), as announced on Thursday morning.
Foster was named a second-team selection after leading the Loggers in scoring this season, averaging 18.3 ppg and bringing down 5.8 rebounds per contest. In addition, he scored his 1000th point on February 2nd at home against George Fox.
Ryan Symes of Whitworth was the only other Northwest Conference player honored, picking up first team honors after leading the Pirates in the Sectional round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Matt Goodwin of Wisconsin-Whitewater was named West Region Player of the Year while Brian Van Haaften of Buena Vista was named West Region Coach of the Year.
