The Loggers continue to try to qualify athletes for the NCAA Championships this week as they head up to Seattle for the Ken Foreman Invitational, held at both West Seattle Stadium and Husky Stadium.

Facing winter conditions on what should have been a pair of nice spring days, the Puget Sound Loggers took fifth in both the men’s and women’s portions of the 2008 NWC Track and Field Championships.

NEWBERG, Ore. - Collecting a trio of individual titles, the Puget Sound Loggers finished the 2008 Northwest Conference Track and Field Championships in fifth place on both the men's and women's sides.

NEWBERG, Ore. - With mostly qualifying heats on the track side and eight final events on the field side, the Puget Sound Loggers concluded day one of the 2008 Northwest Conference Championships in fourth place on the women's side and fifth place in the men's point standings.

It's time for the Northwest Conference Championship meet this weekend at George Fox University in Newberg, Ore. Caitlin McGrane will try to add to her win in the Heptathlon while AJ Middleton will defend his title in the shot put.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Winning three events on the men's side, the Puget Sound Loggers took 2nd in the men's team scoring at the Ralph Vernacchia Team Meet on Friday afternoon in Bellingham. The Logger women took fifth in their team scoring.

NEWBERG, Ore. - It took a come from behind effort but Puget Sound sophomore Caitlin McGrane became the first Northwest Conference track and field champion of 2008, winning the heptathlon at the NWC Multi-Event Championships at George Fox University in Newberg, Ore.

Loggers 2nd, 6th At Shotwell Invite

TACOMA, Wash. - Led by a top three sweep in the men's hammer and a provisional NCAA qualifying time in the women's 100m hurdles, the Puget Sound Loggers concluded the home portion of the 2008 track and field schedule with the Shotwell Invitational at Baker Stadium in Tacoma. The men took second while the women finished sixth.

The Loggers head east of the Cascades this weekend, participating in the Whitworth Tri-Meet on Saturday in Spokane.

TACOMA, Wash. - In a meet honoring the late Joe Peyton, the Puget Sound Loggers performed well against a majority of Division II competition at the Peyton Invitational on Saturday at Baker Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. The Logger men took third while the women took sixth.

The Loggers opened up the outdoor season with a strong performance in a casual meet with Lewis & Clark. This week, the competition will be much more fierce as the Loggers host the annual Joe Peyton Invitational.

UPS Track Solid In Outdoor Opener

TACOMA, Wash. - Placing first in 29 of 37 events entered, the Puget Sound Loggers opened up the outdoor track and field season on a strong note in a meet against Lewis & Clark and Seattle Pacific on Saturday at Baker Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. UPS and L&C scored the meet against each other, with the Loggers winning 101-76 on the women's side and 129.5-55.5 on the men's side.
