The 19th Hole

The 2008 golf season came to a close last weekend and the Loggers put together some very competitive runs at both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The Logger women finished third at snowy Aspen Lakes GC while the men took fourth at Apple Tree GC.

Men's Golf Second After Day One Of NWC Championship

YAKIMA, Wash. - Low scores were the name of the game on the first day of the Northwest Conference men's golf championship at Apple Tree GC in Yakima, Wash. and the Loggers joined in on the fun, taking over third place heading into Sunday's final day.

Swinging For Championships

It's championship week for the Loggers as the men head to Apple Tree Golf Course in Yakima and the women head to Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters, Ore. Pacific Lutheran serves as host for the men's championship while the Loggers are the official "hosts" of the women's championship.

One More Practice Round

The Loggers put together another good weekend on the course as they finish tuning-up for next week's NWC Championship. This week, they will play 18 holes on Sunday against Pacific Lutheran at Fort Lewis GC.

Men's Golfers Take Second In 5-Way

YAKIMA, Wash. - If Sunday's men's golf five-way is any indication of the upcoming Northwest Conference Championships, the Puget Sound Loggers have to like their chances as they finished just one stroke back of Whitworth to take second at the Whitman/Whitworth Five-Way on Sunday at Apple Tree G.C. in Yakima, Wash.

Logger Golfers Take To The Links

FORT LEWIS, Wash. - Taking to the course at Fort Lewis GC, the Puget Sound Loggers posted strong rounds on both the men's and women's sides on Saturday. The Loggers won a dual with Pacific (Ore.) on the men's side while the women finished the first day of the Tacoma Invitational with a four-stroke lead.

Logger Men Fifth At NWC Spring Classic

BANKS, Ore. - Playing in the second official Northwest Conference event of the 2007-08 season, the Puget Sound Loggers finished fifth at the NWC Men's Spring Classic at Quail Valley Golf Club in Banks, Ore.

Logger Men Top NWC Finisher at Willamette Invite

SALEM, Ore. - Playing 36 holes in one day, the Puget Sound Loggers were the top finishing Northwest Conference school at the Willamette Invitational on Monday at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore. Puget Sound finished +70 for the day to finish 15 strokes back of first-place Northwest Nazarene.

Out On The Course

The Loggers had a strong opening weekend of the spring season last week, playing host to the UPS Invitational at Fircrest Golf Club. The women took first while the men finished in a close second.

Loggers 1st, 2nd At UPS Invite

FIRCREST, Wash. - In their first competition of the spring, the Puget Sound Logger golf teams put together a pair of strong performances at the UPS Invitational at Fircrest Golf Club in Fircrest. The Logger women took first in the four-team competition while the Logger men finished a close second to current Northwest Conference leader Linfield.

Men's Golf Takes Fifth As Well

SPOKANE, Wash. - Led by two-days of sub-80 golf from Jordan Hodge (Tucson, Ariz.) and Matt Riggs (Greenwood Village, Colo./Kent Denver), the Puget Sound Logger men's golf team shot two strokes better on Monday to take fifth place at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at Spokane Country Club in Spokane.

Fall Classic Up Next

The Loggers enjoyed a beautiful fall day while sweeping rival Pacific Lutheran in a dual match on Sunday. This week, they head east of the mountains for the NWC Fall Classic. The men will play at Spokane CC while the women will head to Pendleton, Ore. and Wildhorse GC for their competition.

Loggers Edge Lutes on the Links

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Proving that every single stroke does in fact count, the Puget Sound Loggers edged out the Pacific Lutheran Lutes, 316-317, in a men's golf dual on Sunday afternoon at Oakbrook Country Club in Lakewood, Wash. The Logger women had a little easier time defeating the Lutes, outshooting PLU, 358-394.

The Logger golfers hit the course for the first time last week and placed second at the NWC Washington Tournament. This week, they take on Pacific Lutheran in a dual on Sunday at Oakbrook CC in Lakewood.

Logger Golfers 2nd At NWC Washington Tourny

LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Competing in their first tournament of the 2007-08 season, the Puget Sound Loggers finished second on both the men's and women's side of the Northwest Conference Washington Tournament, played on Sunday and Monday at Oakbrook Country Club in Lakewood, Wash. Freshman Sarah Bicker (Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline) took first place in the women's tournament to lead the Loggers.
