LOGGER WOMEN FALL TO MISSIONARIES
WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Despite several close matches, the Puget Sound Loggers were swept by the Whitman Missionaries, 9-0, in a Northwest Conference women's tennis match on Saturday in Walla Walla, Wash.
After Whitman picked up three points in double play, the Loggers had some strong individual performances in singles play. At the number four spot, Ashley Spencer (Hilo, Hawaii/Waiakea) played Divneet Kaur close before falling 7-5, 6-4. At the number six spot, Penny Horowitz (Berkeley, Calif./Head Royce) fell in a three-set match to Alex Robinson, 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
The Loggers return home next weekend to play host to George Fox and Willamette.
