BASEBALL CHANGES FINALIZED
LEWISTON, Idaho - The Puget Sound Loggers and Whitworth Pirates have finally determined exactly where and when their 2008 Northwest Conference baseball season opener will be played. Due to heavy amounts of snow on the ground in Spokane, the Loggers and Pirates will head 100 miles to the south to Lewiston, Idaho for the four-game series.
On Saturday, the two teams will play a doubleheader at Harris Field on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College. The first game will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the second contest to follow after the first game.
On Sunday, the Loggers and Bucs will play at Lewiston High School, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Sunday's doublheader will consist of two seven-inning games.
