NWC TOURNAMENT COMING TO TACOMA

TACOMA, Wash. - For the third consecutive season, the Puget Sound Loggers send both the men's and women's basketball teams into the Northwest Conference Tournament. Puget Sound is the only school to send both teams into the conference tournament.

The men enter the tournament as the number two seed and will play host to Willamette on Thursday night. The winner of that game will travel to Spokane on Saturday to take on Whitworth in the NWC Championship game.

The women are the top seed in the NWC tournament and will play host to either Lewis & Clark or George Fox on Friday night. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets for Thursday and Friday's NWC Tournament games are set at $7 for adults, and $4 for children (12 and under) and seniors (65 and older). Students from participating institutions will be admitted free with valid ID. Faculty and staff from participating institutions will have to purchase tickets per NWC guidelines. In addition, neither team will be provided with a pass list.

Fans that are unable to attend this week's games can follow along at home for free via Live Stats.  More information can be found here.

The winners of the two tournaments will earn the NWC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Both the men's and women's brackets for the national tournament will be release on Monday morning.
