Summer With The Loggers

For yet another year, the Puget Sound Loggers are excited to offer a number of different summer camps in 2008. Men's basketball, women's basketball, football and volleyball will all be offering sport-specific camps while the popular Little Logger All-Sports camp returns in July.

Hamilton Announces Retirement From Coaching

TACOMA, Wash. – After 22 seasons, University of Puget Sound Head Softball Coach Robin Hamilton has announced her retirement from coaching. The winningest coach in Puget Sound history, Hamilton will remain with the university and continue her role as associate athletics director.

TACOMA, Wash. - The three Puget Sound Logger basketball players who hit the 1000-point milestone in 2007-08 have been honored by D3hoops.com, earning All-West Region honors. Holiday Tournament Changes

TACOMA, Wash. - On a night honoring the seniors, the Puget Sound Loggers rallied back and defeated the Missionaires of Whitman by the scores of 30-27, 20-30, 30-32, 30-21 and 15-12. SPOKANE, Wash. - For the third time in the last four games between the two squads, the 10th-ranked Puget Sound Loggers and the Whitworth Pirates headed to overtime, unable to settle things following 90 minutes of regulation. While it was the Loggers who earned the 2-1 overtime victory in Tacoma on Sep. 30, it was the Pirates who picked up the 2-1 overtime victory on Saturday in a Northwest Conference men's soccer match in Spokane, Wash.

#4 Loggers Hold Off Bucs, 3-2

SPOKANE, Wash. - Taking matters into her own hands, sophomore Janece Levien (Beaverton, Ore.) and the fourth-ranked Puget Sound Loggers held off the 14th-ranked Whitworth Pirates, 3-2, in a Northwest Conference women's soccer match on Saturday afternoon in Spokane, Wash. Swimmers Open Up 07-08 In Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Always among the elite in the Northwest Conference in the pool, the 2007-08 Puget Sound Logger swim program started the season with two strong days of swimming at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. Senior Amy Polansky (Menomonie, Wis.) placed third in the NWC Spring Pentathlon on Friday night and the Loggers took a pair of seconds and a third in the NWC Relays on Saturday.

Rowers Win Three at Charlie Brown Regatta

PORTLAND, Ore. - Picking up victories in the Men's Varsity 8, Men's Novice 4 and Men's Varsity 4, the Puget Sound Loggers put together a strong showing at the Charlie Brown Regatta, hosted by Lewis & Clark Pioneers. The UPS Women's Varsity 8 was just a second behind Lewis & Clark in that race.

Logger Runners 2nd, 4th at NWC Championships

BROOKS, Ore. - Brittany Hodgson (Grants Pass, Ore.), Emily Timmer (Tacoma, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) and Kenna Patrick (Federal Way, Wash./Thomas Jefferson) finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively as the Puget Sound Loggers took second place at the Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships, run at Willamette Mission State Park in Brooks, Ore. On the men's side, Francis Reynolds (Palo Alto, Calif.) finished fifth individually as the Loggers too fourth in the NWC.
