MEN'S GOLF TAKES FIFTH AS WELL
SPOKANE, Wash. - Led by two-days of sub-80 golf from Jordan Hodge (Tucson, Ariz.) and Matt Riggs (Greenwood Village, Colo./Kent Denver), the Puget Sound Logger men's golf team shot two strokes better on Monday to take fifth place at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at Spokane Country Club in Spokane.
On day two, the Loggers were led by by a 77 from Hodge. Mike Pannier (Sandy, Utah/Brighton) added a 78 and Riggs finished the second round with a score of 79. Tim Bartz (University Place, Wash./Oregon State) carded 80 on the final 18 to round out the Loggers scoring on day two.
Linfield won the team title with a combined 604 to take the initial lead in the NWC title race. Whitworth took second with 608, followed by Pacific (611), Pacific Lutheran (619), Puget Sound (630), Willamette (661), Lewis & Clark (684), Whitman (697) and George Fox (715). Chris Packard of PLU took the individual title, carding 143 (69-74).
