Claudia Stevens, guest artist Visiting scholar Professor Stevens will perform her original work to commemorate Kristallnacht. The one-woman performance depicts through music, song, and drama the survival story of a Jewish musician and prisoner of the Nazis. An Evening with Madame F is based on the autobiography Playing for Time, which depicts the experiences of Fania Fenelon, a musician and cabaret singer who performed in the women's orchestra at the Auschwitz-Birkenau labor and extermination camp during World War II.
