Student Research and Travel Awards

The University of Puget Sound offers many opportunities for students to engage in research and travel, whether in the natural sciences, in the social sciences, in the arts, or in the humanities. Most major programs of study either require or provide the option for a research-based thesis in the senior year. This site provides information and assistance on the numerous opportunities for students to apply for awards, grants, and stipends for support of their research projects and travels.

Important Notice Regarding Student Research and Travel Awards

September 14th, 2007

Due to increased financial support, the University Enrichment Committee is pleased to announce two changes to the Student Research and Student Travel Awards for the 2007-2008 academic year (effective 9/14/07).

  • Maximum awards have been increased from $450 to $500 dollars.
  • Students are no longer limited to one award per academic year. Students who receive a research award may also apply and be considered for a travel award. (The same is true for students who first receive a travel award and who wish to apply for a research award.)
