Quiet and Group Study

Need a Place in the Library for Group or Quiet Study?
Here's where to find it!

Ground Floor (Basement)
There are a number of both single and double carrels along one side of the ground floor of the library. All carrels are equipped with ports for laptop use and are available on a “first come, first served” basis. Additionally, there are a number of partitioned desks on all floors of the library which offer privacy for study.

Ground floor carrels are located next to the Books A-C.

Group Study Carrels:
LIB 016, 019, 023, 025, 027, 029 (larger groups), and 033.
Carrel 017 fits up to two people.

Main Floor
LIB 114, 116 (next to Library instruction room)
LIB 124 has space for large groups.
Carrels for up to two people: LIB 133, 135, 137, 139

2nd Floor (on Mezzanine)
Multimedia Carrels: LIB 202, 204, 206, 208

There are petitioned desks and cozy sitting areas throughout the library for quiet study. Try the upper floors to find the quietest areas. The general rule is, “the higher you go, the quieter it gets. "
