Division of Student Affairs Mission Statement

Vision

The Division of Student Affairs supports the education mission of the university by encouraging the development of students as citizen leaders in a global society. We are educational partners with faculty, staff and students, providing a seamless web of services, while role modeling integrity, collaboration, respect for human diversity, fairness, and social responsibility.

Mission

We facilitate student learning opportunities and provide support services that enhance students' abilities to explore and develop full potential, discover complex identities, become their own best advocates, and build an inclusive community. We intentionally foster the life-long development of integrity and self-reliance; respect for differences; critical thinking and ethical discourse; effective leadership skills; community responsibility, engagement, service, and interdependence for the common good. On our residential campus, we challenge ourselves, students and colleagues to achieve balance, social consciousness, personal growth and academic success.

Students produce as many as 20 one-act and four full-length plays each year.
