Loan Application Process Stafford Loan
Your Financial Aid Award Notice specifies the amount of your Stafford Loan eligibility. If you are planning to borrow through the Federal Stafford Loan program, the following steps must be completed before you will receive the loan funds. Select a LenderNow that you've had a chance to compare lenders with Simple Tuition, you need to let us know what lender you wish to borrow from by completing a Lender Selection form. The lender that you select will send a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to you to sign and return. If you have previously signed a MPN while attending the University of Puget Sound it is not necessary to sign a new one for subsequent years of borrowing. If you are a first time Stafford Loan borrower, you will need to complete an online loan entrance counseling session. This simple questionnaire will cover topics including loan repayment and your resonsibilities as a loan borrower. Start the Stafford Loan counseling session.
Perkins Loan The Federal Perkins Loan is a revolving loan program in which the university serves as the lender. Your Financial Aid Award Notice specifies your Perkins Loan eligibility. If you wish to borrow through the Perkins Loan program, the following steps must be completed before you will receive the loan funds. - Loan Entrance Counseling
You will need to complete an online loan counseling and sign a Perkins Promissory Note each year before the loan funds an be applied to your student account. Start the Perkins Loan counseling session
Graduate PLUS Loan The Graduate PLUS Loan program allows students to borrow up to the cost of attendance, less any other financial aid already awarded. If you are a graduate student planning to borrow through the PLUS Loan program, the following steps must be completed before you will receive the loan funds. - Compare Loan Options

Once you have had a chance to compare lenders with Simple Tuition, you will need to begin the first step of the online loan application process loan application by completing the Graduate Confirmation Form. You will be asked information about the loan amount you wish to borrow, in addition to instructions about how you want the funds disbursed. - Apply for your Loan
When you have completed the confirmation form, you will be linked to the actual loan application.
Parent PLUS Loan Parents of undergraduate students may pursue funding through the Federal PLUS Loan program. The PLUS Loan allows parents to borrow up to the cost of attendance, less any other financial aid already awarded.
