Trustee Deanna W. Oppenheimer, '80 is Featured Presenter at AGB National Conference on Trusteeship

Tacoma, Wash. – Deanna W. Oppenheimer '80, an alumna and chair of the board of trustees for University of Puget Sound, is a featured panelist during the Association of Governing Bodies of Universities and Colleges (AGB) national conference on trusteeship scheduled for March 3-6 in Phoenix, Ariz.
The Road Ahead for Governance is higher education's premier gathering on governance-related issues for board leaders, trustees, campus and system chief executive officers, board professional staff, and senior-level administrators.
Oppenheimer is participating in the session “Integral Leadership: President and Board Responsibilities in the Global Century,” along with fellow panelists Gerald L. Baliles, former governor of Virginia and director of the University of Virginia Miller Center of Public Affairs, and James J. Duderstadt, president emeritus of University of Michigan and member of the Commission on the Future of Higher Education. The session moderator is Gwen Ifill, managing editor of Washington Week and a senior correspondent with The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.
Oppenheimer is the chief executive officer for Barclays U.K. banking in London. The 300-year-old bank is one of the top 10 financial institutions in the world, with operations in more than 60 countries.
