Fall Academic Term |
| August 27 & 30 | Freshmen and transfer student work-study orientation sessions. New students receive employment referrals and will begin contacting supervisors. First-year students are encouraged to contact supervisors immediately following orientation sessions which end at 10:30 a.m. on Monday the 27th (White group) and Thursday the 30th (Maroon group). |

| August 31 | Continuing students with jobs arranged may access their online employment agreements in Cascade. |
| |
| Sept. 4 | First day of classes; first day students may begin working on their academic year employment agreements. |

| Sept. 7 | End of first week of classes. If you have a job open and no student has contacted you yet, notify the Student Employment Coordinator, Sabrina Crenshaw. |

| Sept. 3 | Deadline to approve timesheets for summer hours worked through August 31. |
| |
| Sept. 30 | This is the last working day of the month. Supervisors should approve timesheets by the 3rd of the month in October. |
| |
| December 1-15 | Notify Career and Employment Services (CES) of anticipated spring term job openings between these dates or as soon as you are aware of a vacancy. |
| |
| Dec. 21 | Last day of work for students with fall-term-only assignments. |

Spring Academic Term |
| January 1 | Applications for summer work-study are available for download at the Financial Aid web site. If there are students you would like to employ over the summer, encourage them to apply for summer financial aid. For many students, a summer award does not affect academic year financial aid. Students must meet applicable deadlines, which are earlier than academic year deadlines.

| Jan. 22 | First day of spring term. Most student referrals for spring term job openings will take place this week.

| March 1-31 | Preference deadlines for summer work-study applications and for 2008-2009 financial aid applications fall within this time. More specific information is included on the Financial Aid Web site. |

| March - April | Summer 2008, and academic year 2008-2009 student mployment allocation requests will be solicited from department heads.
Supervisors review and confirm academic year assignments for student staff members returning to work in their departments
Supervisors submit names of current student staff members for summer job openings. |

| April | Student Employment Month! |

| April 14 | Referrals begin for Summer 2008, work-study jobs. |

April 28 - May 9 | 2008-2009 Work-Study Referral Sessions in Career and Employment Services (CES) from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Continuing students can apply for available on-campus, work-study jobs. Students not returning to work in your department should be encouraged to take advantage of this process to identify other employment options. |

| May 16 | Last day of work for students with 2007-2008 academic year or Spring Term 2008 jobs. |

Summer Academic Term |
| May 19-Sept. 1 | Start and end dates for summer 2008 student employment. |

| July 1 | End of fiscal year for 2007-2008. All timesheets through June 30 must be approved by July 3. |
