Strong Interest Inventory and Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator

Career and Employment Services (CES) offers students the opportunity to take one or both of the assessments followed by an appointment where they get their results.  It is best to talk with a career counselor in order to determine the most appropriate assessment for your needs.  You can do so by contacting CES (253.879.3161, Howarth 101) and scheduling an appointment.

If you know which assessment(s) you would like to take, complete the directions below.

To take the assessment:

  1. Each assessment takes approximately ½ an hour, so be sure to allow enough time.  Also, it’s best to take the assessment when you are comfortable and alert.  (Taking it an hour before a big test, or after an all-nighter, or when you’re in a bad mood may skew your results and make them less than helpful).
  2. Go online to http://online.cpp-db.com/
  3. Type in the following information and click on the purple log in button.
    Account Login: upscareer
    Account Password: goodluck
User ID: You do not need a user ID unless you are returning to finish an incomplete inventory.
  4. Follow the directions on the screen.

When you are finished, please stop by CES to schedule an appointment with a career counselor for an interpretation.

The cost for each assessment is $5 (for current students) and $10 (for alumni) payable at least 1 business day prior to your interpretation appointment.  Pre-payment allows us to have your assessment scored and available to you by your appointment time.  CES accepts cash and checks so please stop by our office to take care of payment.
