etc. Empowerment Through Collaboration

what comes next is up to you...

etc. is a tutorial program born in collaboration with the Tacoma School District to provide out of school tutoring for middle and high school students.

etc. Tutoring provides students the atmosphere, space and attention they need to achieve the results they desire. The collaboration with the students here at Puget Sound will hopefully help to build self-esteem and confidence, enabling each to scholastically achieve the grades and understanding of their courses that will help them to advance.

etc. is open to all school age students and all subjects. Once a student has turned in the appropriate forms we will do our best to match that student with a tutor based on the subjects that student needs help with. The student will be responsible for bringing their homework and coordinating with their tutor on what they need help with. This program is on the University of Puget Sound campus, and students will need to provide their own transportation. However, etc. is completely free of charge, and tutors participate on a volunteer basis.

For the Fall Semester 2007, the program will be held on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm OR Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in Wheelock 201. The schedule will be as follows:
