Daniel walks to work even though it takes him 40 minutes.  This is probably because of his roots; he was born in New York City and raised in Chicago, both places where walking is faster than the alternative.  After attending college in Iowa, he decided to head out west, where he enjoys an optimal combination of city, water, and mountains.  During college, Daniel developed a coffee-drinking habit that makes him feel right at home in the Pacific Northwest.  Other addictions he likes to feed include the New York Times and NPR.  He enjoys travelling, especially to Europe, and speaks Italian whenever and with whomever he can.  He can also be found riding his bike or engaging in violent rounds of Parcheesi or Trivial Pursuit with friends.  Seriously, there's sometimes bloodshed.  When he's in the mood for more sedentary entertainment, The West Wing, Law & Order, and Arrested Development are his TV shows of choice.  In addition to counseling students, Daniel serves as the liaison to the Business Leadership, Honors, and Humanities programs.
