What is  coming up?

  • OLE - Outdoor Leadership Experience Course:
    Do you want to lead overnight trips for PSO or Passages?
    Find out more about OLE and how to apply.  Applications are due Tuesday March 25 at Student Development by 5pm.
  • CPR Course - Free
    April 3 6-9pm, Sign-up in the Expeditionary by Friday March 28 at 5pm.
  • Wilderness First Aid Course:
    April 5-6, two 1/2 days 20 hours, sign-up by Friday March 28 at the Expy.
    This course will be 2 days and one evening. The focus being on good basic life support techniques as well as environmental issues that arise in the wilderness. The class is mostly hands on skills with the use of scenarios and labs. This course if for backcountry travelers and those new to outdoor leadership. The course meets the MINIMUM requirement for PSO and Passages Trip leaders. Cost $125 for the Puget Sound Community and $150 for the general public.  Sign up athe Expeditionary.  For more information contact 253-879-3403.
    Times: the coures will run from 8am - 5pm both Saturday and Sunday.  There will be an additional session on Saturday night from 6-9pm to cover spinal cord issues.  This course will not cover annaphylaxis or other toxins.  Because the treatment for anaphylaxis depends on each companies wilderness protocols we will cover them separately for Pso and Passages leaders.
  • Basic First Aid Course:
    T    his course is for Passages basecamp leaders or for anyone who has not taken a basic first aid course recently. Date in April TBA!
