History
Collins Memorial Library is named in honor of Everell S. Collins, a former University trustee. The main building was constructed in 1954, and the addition, which more than doubled its size, was completed in 1974. In the year 2000, the library had a major facelift with a $7.5 million renovation. 

Library Facts
The library has over 400,000 volumes, 6,000 videos, 1800 current print periodical subscriptions, and has been a Federal government depository since 1938.
