Health Insurance

The University of Puget Sound is concerned with the overall health of its students and their medical health coverage away from home.  We have partnered with Educational and Institutional Insurance Administrators (EIIA) to provide a low-cost group Student Insurance health plan.  This plan is designed for both: 

• Students not otherwise covered by a plan valid in the Tacoma metropolitan area
• Students and families who desire coverage supplemental to their existing plan.

Effective fall 2006, all full-time students will be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan.  This plan provides health insurance coverage from the first day you are required to be on campus through July 31.  

The annual cost of the coverage for 2007-08 is $165 per student. 

Students will be billed for health insurance through Student Financial Services as part of the semester billing process.
