Michael J. Curley, a literary scholar specializing in the languages and literatures of the Middle Ages, is Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Puget Sound. His most recent book is Alessandro Manzoni, Two Plays (2002). Other books include Physiologus (1979), Saint Patrick's Purgatory (1993) and Geoffrey of Monmouth (1994). His recent edition of a collection of narratives recounting the posthumous miracles of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales, appeared in Traditio 62 (2007).
