Department of Student ServicesMission Statement and Goals The Department of Student Services is comprised of programs and services that provide a variety of helpful resources to University of Puget Sound students and to the rest of the campus community. We commit ourselves to providing services and developing programs of the highest quality that promote educational excellence and the integration of learning with thoughtful moral discourse and service to others for the common good. We share the common goals of: 1)
Supporting and challenging students as they explore, discover, and create
their own complex identities; 2)
Assisting and mentoring students as they develop skills that help them
become both their own best advocates and responsible community members; 3)
Collaborating with other departments, programs, and colleagues throughout
the University to create environments in which students may test and apply
academic learning; 4)
Remaining professionally informed and engaged in order to provide the
